Heterogeneous catalysts for parahydrogen-induced polarization (HET-PHIP) would be useful for producing highly sensitive contrasting agents for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the liquid phase, as they can be removed by simple filtration. Although homogeneous hydrogenation catalysts are highly efficient for PHIP, their sensitivity decreases when anchored on porous supports due to slow substrate diffusion to the active sites and rapid depolarization within the channels. To address this challenge, we explored 2D metal-organic layers (MOLs) as supports for active Rh complexes with diverse phosphine ligands and tunable hydrogenation activities, taking advantage of the accessible active sites and chemical adaptability of the MOLs.

However, traditional experimental and computational methods have limited scalability and interpretability, hindering effective exploration of MOF structure-property relationships. To address these challenges, we introduce, for the first time, a category-specific topological learning (CSTL), which combines algebraic topology with chemical insights for robust property prediction.

Enterobactin (Ent) is a well- known secreted iron-scavenging siderophore made by bacteria to fetch iron from the host or environment. Little was known about a positive role of Ent until a recent discovery in the nematode indicated a beneficial role of Ent in promoting mitochondrial iron level in the animal intestine.

Antimony is a critical raw material in Europe wherein for 43% of its market share it is applied in the form of antimony trioxide as a fire retardant in plastics. Currently, antimony recycling from waste plastics does not take place and has been scarcely studied. In this work, a process was developed to extract antimony from a soft PVC material and recover it as SbClO.

Among the various solid electrolytes, argyrodite thiophosphates Li6PS5X (X = Cl, Br, I) stand out due to their high ionic conductivity, structural flexibility, and compatibility with a range of electrode materials, making them ideal candidates for efficient and scalable battery applications. However, despite significant performance advancements, the sustainability and recycling of ASSBs remain underexplored, posing a critical challenge for achieving efficient circular processes.
