Background: Insulin resistance (IR) is a common pathophysiologic feature in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). However, there have been no studies investigating the association of IR surrogates with pregnancy outcomes in women with PCOS undergoing in vitro fertilization (IVF). Background: The United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989) affirms interdependent rights to protection and participation, but barriers continue to hinder participation in protection practices.
Objective: What can be learned from young people's participation in their own protection when it comes to harm reduction public policy efforts?
Participants And Setting: This study focused on provincial public policy in New Brunswick, Canada and involved both children and adults in research design and data collection. The provincial Youth Voice Committee was created to inform the development and implementation of the provincial harm reduction strategy.

Study Objective: Despite falling teen birth rates in the United States, there is a disproportionate burden of teen births in rural regions. The study aims to investigate the characteristics of teenage mothers and examine the relationships between teen birth and adverse birth outcomes in the rural Appalachian state of West Virginia (WV).
Methods: Data was obtained from a population-based cohort (Project WATCH) of all singleton live births in WV between May 2018 and April 2023.

Evidence suggests that older adults who survived COVID-19 were exposed to greater functional dependence in their daily living activities. This study aims to examine the prevalence of functional dependence and associated factors among Brazilian older people with functional dependence 12 months after COVID-19 infection. A cross-sectional study was carried out involving people aged 60 years or older in the state of Paraná, Brazil.
