A 61-year-old man tested positive for occult urinary and fecal occult blood and was diagnosed with invasive prostate cancer extensively infiltrating the rectum. After scrutiny, he was diagnosed with cT4N1M0 prostate cancer, and androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) was initiated with a gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonist. A prostatic rectal resection was performed 6 months after ADT began.

Prostate squamous cell carcinoma (pSCC) rarely develops as a secondary cancer after treatment with low-dose-rate brachytherapy (LDR-BT). There is no established effective treatment for the disease condition. Herein, we present a 78-year-old man who developed pSCC 8 years after LDR-BT.
