Thermal frontal polymerization (FP) of acrylate monomers mixed with conventional peroxide initiators leads to significant bubble formation at the polymerizing front, limiting their practical applications. Redox initiators present a promising alternative to peroxide initiators, as they prevent the formation of gaseous byproducts during initiator decomposition and lower the front temperature, thereby enabling bubble-free FP. In this study, we investigate the FP of acrylate monomers of varying functionalities, including methyl methacrylate (MMA), 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA), and trimethylolpropane triacrylate (TMPTA), using ,-dimethylaniline/benzoyl peroxide (DMA/BPO) redox couple at room temperature and compare their front behavior, pot life, and bubble formation with those of same resin systems mixed with a conventional peroxide initiator, Luperox 231.

We investigate the early stages of cesium lead bromide perovskite formation through absorption spectroscopy of stopped-flow reactions, high-throughput mapping, and direct synthesis and titration of potential precursor species. Calorimetric and spectroscopic measurements of lead bromide complex titrations combined with theoretical calculations suggest that bromide complexes with higher coordination numbers than previously considered for nonpolar systems can better explain observed behaviors. Synthesis mapping of binary lead halides reveals multiple lead bromide species with absorption peaks higher than 300 nm, including a previously observed species with a peak at 313 nm and two species with peaks at 345 and 370 nm that also appear as reaction intermediates during the formation of lead bromide perovskites.

In this study, we investigated the characteristics and herbicidal potential of bispyribac phenolic esters, which belong to the 2-(pyrimidin-2-yloxy)benzoic acid (PYB) class of acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS-)-inhibiting herbicides. These herbicides are primarily used for controlling Poaceae and broadleaf weeds. Among them, bispyribac-sodium stands out as a representative in this class.

The plastic waste problem has recently attracted unprecedented attention globally. To reduce the adverse eff ects on environments, biodegradable polymers have been studied to solve the problems. Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) is one of the common biodegradable plastics used on its own or blended with natural polymers because of its excellent properties after blending.

A new pyrazole derived methacrylate monomer, 1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-yl methacrylate, was synthesized from the reaction of 1,3-diphenyl-5-pyrazolone with methacryloyl chloride in the presence of triethylamine. After that, its homopolymerization was carried out by free radical polymerization method at 60 °C initiated with benzoyl peroxide. Spectral characterizations were achieved by 1H-NMR and FTIR spectroscopies.
