Objective: To study on the chemical constituents of effective part of Semen Ziziphi Spinosae.
Method: The sample was extracted with methanol and purified by macroporous resin. The structures were identified by high performance liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization with multi-stage tandem mass spectrometry.
Result: Thirteen compounds were identified from the effective part of Semen Ziziphi Spinosae.
Conclusion: The method is simple and rapid for the identification of the flavonoids and triterpenoid saponins from Semen Ziziphi Spinosae.
