This review aimed at synthesizing empirical evidence on how communities are involved in one health research.

Background: The optimal antibiotic regimen to empirically treat complicated diverticulitis has not been well established in guidelines.
Methods: A 5-year retrospective cohort study was conducted with 322 patients admitted to Mayo Clinic hospitals for complicated diverticulitis. Outcomes for 89 patients treated with ceftriaxone and metronidazole were compared to 233 patients treated with piperacillin/tazobactam.

Background: There remains a debate over whether minimally invasive surgery (MIS) or open fixation provides superior outcomes for patients with thoracolumbar fractures.

Introduction: is a major health problem, with the high prevalence of and the increasing antibiotic resistance rate in China. Antibiotic resistance is the main reason for the failure of eradication. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of susceptibility-guided quadruple therapy with antibiotic resistance using the string test coupled with quantitative PCR (qPCR) for eradication.

Parental separation itself may be painful for both divorcing parents and children; however, this may not be the only stressful event in family structure among postdivorce families. Most divorced parents may start seeking a new romantic relationship before, during, and/or soon after their divorce or separation is finalized. Given that postdivorce dating may develop as a meaningful, stable, and supportive family tie, such as a stepparent-stepchild relationship, parents must communicate their new relationship with children if this relationship trajectory is anticipated.
