Accurately characterizing third order intermodulation distortion (IMD3) in high-linearity photodiodes is challenging. Two measurement techniques are evaluated-a standard two-tone measurement and a more complicated three-tone measurement technique to measure IMD3. A model of the measurement system is developed and used to analyze the limitations of the two techniques in determining the distortion of highly linear photodiodes. Experimental validation is provided by comparing the simulation trends with IMD3 results measured on two types of waveguide photodiodes: 1) an InP based uni-traveling-carrier (UTC) photodiode and 2) a Ge n-i-p waveguide photodetector on Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) substrate.

Multi-frequency acousto-optic beam splitting plays a significant role in many laser applications due to its advantages of inertia free, fast refreshing speed and high-precision controllable light intensity and direction. How to reduce the intermodulation distortion and improve the uniformity of the beam splitting intensity has become an intensive issue. This paper proposes the collaborative optimization method to co-optimize of the phase and amplitude of acousto-optic device multi-frequency composite signals, which can eliminate the nonlinear distortion of the amplification of multi-frequency composite signals and increase the energy utilization rate and accuracy of intensity control for each sub-beam.

Linearity and intermodulation distortion are very crucial parameters for RFICs design. Therefore, in this work, a detailed comparative analysis on linearity and intermodulation distortion of single metal (SMG) and double metal (DMG) double gate junction less transistor (JLT) is done using TCAD silvaco suite. Furthermore, the effects of temperature fluctuation, gate length variation, and gate material engineering on the linearity performance of both devices are also studied.

This paper presents a new multiple-input single-output voltage-mode universal filter employing four multiple-input operational transconductance amplifiers (MI-OTAs) and three grounded capacitors suitable for low-voltage low-frequency applications. The quality factor () of the filter functions can be tuned by both the capacitance ratio and the transconductance ratio. The multiple inputs of the OTA are realized using the bulk-driven multiple-input MOS transistor technique.
