: Pulmonary embolism (PE) incidence has been increasing in the last 10 years. Computed thoracic pulmonary angiography (CTPA) had a major role in PE diagnosis and prognosis. The main purpose of this study was as follows: the prognostic value of a CTPA parameter, pulmonary artery obstruction index (PAOI), in PE risk assessment and the predictive accuracy of biomarkers, D-dimer and cardiac Troponin T (c-TnT), in 7-day mortality.

Background: In hemophilia and von Willebrand disease, the degree of alteration of laboratory assays correlates with bleeding manifestations. Few studies have assessed the predictive value for bleeding of laboratory assays in patients with inherited platelet function disorders (IPFDs).
Objectives: To assess whether there is an association between platelet function assay results and bleeding history, as evaluated by the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) bleeding assessment tool (BAT).

Introduction: Infection with SARS-CoV-2 in its most severe form leads to acute respiratory distress syndrome requiring mechanical ventilation under the conditions of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The state of hypercoagulation described in COVID-19 may deepen respiratory failure, leading to increased mortality. The aim of the presented study is to characterise the haemostatic profile based on the results of clotting system parameters and risk assessment of thromboembolic complications of patients hospitalised in the ICU.

Background: Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is a common kidney disease associated with an increased risk of thrombotic events. The aim of this study was to assess the prothrombotic potential of patients with NS using the thrombin generation assay (TGA).
Methods: A total of 35 patients with NS, who were followed in the Division of Pediatric Nephrology in Behcet Uz Children`s Hospital, were included in the study.

Background: The pathogenesis of heatstroke is a multi-factorial process involved with an interplay among subsequent inflammation, endothelial injury and coagulation disturbances, which makes pharmacological therapy of heatstroke a challenging problem. Xuebijing injection (XBJ), a traditional Chinese medicine used to sepsis, has been reported to suppress inflammatory responses and restore coagulation disturbances. However, little is known about the role of XBJ in heatstroke.
