Introduction: Bipolar disorder (BD) often necessitates hospitalization, especially during manic episodes. Long-acting injectable antipsychotics (LAIs) are theorized to enhance treatment adherence and decrease rehospitalization rates compared to oral medications. This study aimed to evaluate the real-world effectiveness of LAIs in reducing rehospitalizations among BD patients admitted for bipolar mania.

Racialized stress disproportionately impacts Black individuals and confers increased risk for psychological distress and executive dysfunction. However, there is little evidence on psychological distress' association with cognitive flexibility (CF), an executive function theorized to be a neurocognitive resilience factor, as it is shown to reflect the ability to adapt thoughts/behaviors to changing environmental stimuli. As such, we aimed to examine the relation between racialized stress and psychological distress and the potential buffering effects of CF.

Emotional support from a non-offending caregiver, often the child's mother, is theorized to help buffer children from the consequences of child sexual abuse (CSA). However, many mothers struggle to provide effective emotional support, suggesting it may be important to assess for factors related to mothers' abilities to support their child. CSA frequently occurs in families that have experienced other types of violence, including intimate partner violence (IPV), and many mothers have their own personal history of child abuse.

Objectives: Using a national sample of Americans, this study estimated and compared patterns of depressive symptom trajectories stratified by military service. This study then examined associations between sociodemographic factors theorized to shape entry into military service and trajectory patterns.
Method: Data came from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health, a nationally representative study that followed participants from adolescence (1994-1995) through midlife (2016-2018).

Now that it has been realized that viruses are ubiquitous, questions have been raised on factors influencing their diversity and distribution. For phytoviruses, understanding the interplay between plant diversity and virus species richness and prevalence remains cardinal. As both the amplification and the dilution of viral species richness due to increasing host diversity have been theorized and observed, a deeper understanding of how plants and viruses interact in natural environments is needed to explore how host availability conditions viral diversity and distributions.
