Article Synopsis
  • A multi-method approach is essential for accurately diagnosing ADHD in preschool children, given the complexities involved at this developmental stage; however, most existing AI studies have used only one type of data.
  • This study recruited 78 preschoolers, including those with ADHD and typical development, to create a combined AI model using data from EEG, a computerized attention test, and ADHD symptom scales, achieving a high accuracy of 0.974.
  • The findings highlight the importance of integrating diverse data sources and suggest significant features like teacher ratings and specific EEG measurements can enhance the identification of ADHD in young children.
