Generally, both the phase and amplitude of vibration of an object's surface vary from point to point. This paper details two methods for extracting vibrational phase information from the higher order fringes of holographic interferograms recorded by phase modulating either the object or reference illumination. Both methods require the superposition of only a few transparencies of interferograms in order to generate useful vibration-phase contour maps.

The dataset includes vibration signatures from both healthy and faulty main journal bearings of an internal combustion engine, captured with a tri-axial accelerometer mounted on the bearings' housing. The engine was exposed to various climatic and operating conditions, including variations in temperature and humidity, and tested at different engine rotation speeds, following a standard, MIL-STD-810G. The data was collected in a state-of-the-art climatic and vibration chamber to simulate real-world environmental conditions.

Introduction: Vocal distortion, also known as a scream or growl, is used worldwide as an essential technique in singing, especially in rock and metal, and as an ethnic voice in Mongolian singing. However, the production mechanism of vocal distortion is not yet clearly understood owing to limited research on the behavior of the larynx, which is the source of the distorted voice.
Objectives: This study used high-speed digital imaging (HSDI) to observe the larynx of professional singers with exceptional singing skills and determine the laryngeal dynamics in the voice production of various vocal distortions.
