AI Article Synopsis

  • The Tidal Model of Mental Health Recovery and Reclamation has evolved over the past ten years, focusing on individualized care for mental health patients.
  • The text outlines the different processes involved in the Tidal Model and how they are applied in acute care settings.
  • Research evaluations highlight the model's effectiveness in promoting person-centered care, emphasizing its positive impact on treatment experiences in acute mental health scenarios.

Article Abstract

The development, over the last decade, of the Tidal Model of Mental Health Recovery and Reclamation is described, and a summary of the application of the various Tidal processes of care is provided. Studies of evaluations of the Tidal Model within acute care settings are summarised and the potential contribution that the model makes to the development of person-centred care, within acute settings, is discussed.

Excessive kidney mobility is an underestimating challenge for surgeons during retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) and extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESL). There is no technique approved as a gold standard procedure for reducing excessive kidney mobility. The study aimed to uncover predictive factors for determining excessive renal mobility by utilizing clinicodemographic characteristics and noncontrast computed tomography (NCCT) data.

Absence of functional acid-α-glucosidase (GAA) leads to early-onset Pompe disease with cardiorespiratory and neuromuscular failure. A novel Pompe rat model ( ) was used to test the hypothesis that neonatal gene therapy with adeno-associated virus serotype 9 (AAV9) restores cardiorespiratory neuromuscular function across the lifespan. Temporal vein administration of AAV9-DES-GAA or sham (saline) injection was done on post-natal day 1; rats were studied at 6-12 months old.

The GD-1 Stellar Stream Perturber as a Core-collapsed Self-interacting Dark Matter Halo.

Astrophys J Lett

January 2025

Carnegie Observatories, 813 Santa Barbara Street, Pasadena, CA 91101, USA;

The GD-1 stellar stream exhibits spur and gap structures that may result from a close encounter with a dense substructure. When interpreted as a dark matter subhalo, the perturber is denser than predicted in the standard cold dark matter (CDM) model. In self-interacting dark matter (SIDM), however, a halo could evolve into a phase of gravothermal collapse, resulting in a higher central density than its CDM counterpart.

Effects of wetland disturbance on methane emissions and influential factors: A global meta-analysis of field studies.

Sci Total Environ

January 2025

State Key Laboratory of Black Soils Conservation and Utilization, Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun 130102, China. Electronic address:

Wetlands, one of the largest source of methane (CH) on Earth, are undergoing extensive disturbance globally, resulting in profound impacts on global changes. This study conducted a comprehensive global meta-analysis of field studies to assess the effects of wetland disturbance on CH emissions and the key factors influencing these changes. Our analysis indicates that while CH emissions generally decrease following wetland disturbance, the global warming potential does not necessarily diminish compared to that of natural wetlands.

Aim: The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to explore the effects of different pulmonary rehabilitation on respiratory function in mechanically ventilated patients and to determine the optimal type of intervention.

Method: A comprehensive search was conducted using PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI), and the Cochrane Library from their inception until September 16th, 2024. The search targeted randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing pulmonary rehabilitation or usual care, for improving respiratory function in mechanically ventilated patients.
