Outbreak cases of acute respiratory disease (ARD) associated with subspecies B2 human adenovirus 11a (HAdV-11a) infection were detected during 2005 in a military basic training camp in Singapore. The Singapore HAdV-11a strain is highly similar to other Asian strains of HAdV-11, including strain QS-DLL, which is responsible for the recently described 2006 outbreak of ARD in China.

The leading infectious cause of death in children worldwide is lower acute respiratory infection (LARI), particularly pneumonia. We enrolled a total of 538 acute respiratory infection (ARI) cases according to WHO criteria and age-sex matched 514 controls in the Forcibly Displaced Myanmar National (FDMN) refugee camps in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, between June 2018 and March 2020 to investigate the role of bacteria, viruses, and their co-infection patterns and observe Streptococcus pneumoniae (S. pneumoniae) serotype distribution.

Objective: Adenoviral vectored vaccines, with the appropriate gene insert, induce cellular and antibody responses against viruses, parasites and intracellular pathogens such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Here we explored their capacity to induce functional antibody responses to meningococcal transmembrane outer membrane proteins.
Methods: Vectors expressing porin A and ferric enterobactin receptor A antigens were generated, and their immunogenicity assessed in mice using binding and bactericidal assays.

The zinc finger CCCH-type containing 11A () gene encodes a well-conserved zinc finger protein that may function in mRNA export as it has been shown to associate with the transcription export (TREX) complex in proteomic screens. Here, we report that ZC3H11A is a stress-induced nuclear protein with RNA-binding capacity that localizes to nuclear splicing speckles. During an adenovirus infection, the ZC3H11A protein and splicing factor SRSF2 relocalize to nuclear regions where viral DNA replication and transcription take place.

In march 2016 proventriculi samples were collected from broiler chickens showing poor uniformity and decreased body weight, accompanied by enlarged proventriculi. Histopathological examination of affected proventriculi revealed typical lesions associated with TVP (vacuolar degeneration and necrosis of glandular epithelium, replacement of glandular epithelium by hyperplastic ductal epithelium and moderate to severe lymphocytic infiltration).

Objective To investigate the expressions of Krüppel like factor 5 (KLF5) and tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 11a (TNFRSF11a) in cervical cancer tissues and their effect on proliferation, migration, and invasion of HeLa cells. Methods Microarray technology was used to detect the mRNA expression of gene in cytocine stimulusin cervical tissues, and the result was verified by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction. The expressions of KLF5 and TNFRSF11a in cervical tissues were detected by double immunofluorescence staining.
