Background: Malignant salivary gland tumors (SGTs) present diagnostic challenges and limited treatment options. This study aims to determine the proportion of malignant SGTs overexpressing the androgen receptor (AR) by immunohistochemistry (IHC) and its association to age, sex, anatomical site, histopathological subtype and grade which may inform customized treatment approaches.

Methodology: This was a retrospective cross-sectional analytical study of archived paraffin embedded tissue blocks of malignant SGTs diagnosed at MNH Central Pathology Laboratory (CPL) from January 2019 to December 2022.

Salivary adenoid cystic carcinoma (SACC) is an intractable malignant tumor originates in the secretory glands and frequently metastasizes to the lungs. Hybrid epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) cells within the tumors are correlated with augmented proliferative capacity and facilitation of lung metastasis. Single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial transcriptomic sequencing are employed to reveal the hybrid EMT subsets within the vascular fibroblast microenvironment.

Purpose: Aimed to analyze the developmental characteristics of craniofacial structures and soft tissues in children with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and to establish and evaluate prediction model.

Methods: It's a retrospective study comprising 747 children aged 2-12 years (337 patients and 410 controls) visited the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University (July 2017 to March 2024). Lateral head radiographs were obtained to compare the cephalometric measurements.
