IgA nephropathy is a mesangioproliferative glomerular disease with significant morbidity and mortality. Most patients with IgA nephropathy develop kidney failure in their lifetime, reducing their life expectancy by a decade. Since its first description in 1968, it has been established that kidneys of IgA nephropathy patients are injured as "innocent bystanders" by nephritogenic IgA1-containing immune complexes.

Background: Pelvic exenteration for locally advanced (LARC) or recurrent rectal cancer (LRRC) is technically challenging with considerable morbidity for the patient. Though surgery can confer long-term survival in selected patients, early failure, defined as recurrence with one year, represents a major issue as both survival and quality of life are severely impacted. This study aims to highlight the "bad actors" associated with early failure.

Introduction: The 'Health-2-Go' programme, which incorporates the integrated community case management strategy, aims to enhance healthcare access in rural Ghana by deploying trained and equipped community-based agents to manage the diagnosis and treatment of basic illness for children aged 5 and under. This study evaluates the intervention's impact on all-cause mortality and clinical healthcare utilisation among children 5 and under in the Barekese Subdistrict in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted using data from 2530 children across nine communities exposed to Health-2-Go and six comparison communities with no Health-2-Go exposure.

Non-ignorable missing data arise often in clinical trials. The VEST trial, a randomized, within-patient-controlled study, assessed the effect of an external scaffold for saphenous vein grafts on intimal hyperplasia (IH) one year after coronary artery bypass graft surgery. It was anticipated that approximately 13 % of grafts would be occluded and unsuitable for intravascular ultrasound, resulting in missing IH values at 1-year.

Background: Very-high-power short-duration (vHPSD) radiofrequency (RF) ablation is expected to make shallow lesions and reduce collateral damage. This study investigated the power setting and quality of acute lesions performed by a modified vHPSD RF ablation guided by left atrial (LA) voltage around the esophagus.
Methods: A voltage map was obtained by an OCTARAY catheter (3-mm spacing) during pacing from the high right atrium.
