The number of older people in prison is increasing, and this group has significant mental health needs. Despite this, little research has evaluated mental healthcare for older prisoners, and examples of best practice are unknown. This paper explored staff experiences of supporting the mental health needs of older prisoners to identify existing forms of care provision, challenges to implementation, and areas for improvement.

Background: Diabetic kidney disease (DKD) is recognized as a significant complication of diabetes mellitus and categorized into glomerular DKDs and tubular DKDs, each governed by distinct pathological mechanisms and biomarkers.
Methods: Through the identification of common features observed in glomerular and tubular lesions in DKD, numerous differentially expressed gene were identified by the machine learning, single-cell transcriptome and mendelian randomization.
Results: The diagnostic markers versican (VCAN) was identified, offering supplementary options for clinical diagnosis.

Background: Childhood obesity is a preventable global public health challenge, increasingly recognized as a complex problem, stemming from complex drivers. Obesity is characterized by multiple interdependencies and diverse influences at different societal levels. Tackling childhood obesity calls for a holistic approach that engages with complexity and recognizes that there is no single "magic bullet" intervention to prevent obesity.
