Since decades mimosa (Acacia dealbata) absolute oil has been used in the flavor and perfume industry. Today, it finds an application in over 80 perfumes, and its worldwide industrial production is estimated five tons per year. Here we report on the chemical composition of French mimosa absolute oil. Straight-chain analogues from C6 to C26 with different functional groups (hydrocarbons, esters, aldehydes, diethyl acetals, alcohols, and ketones) were identified in the volatile fraction. Most of them are long-chain molecules: (Z)-heptadec-8-ene, heptadecane, nonadecane, and palmitic acid are the most abundant, and constituents such as 2-phenethyl alcohol, methyl anisate, and ethyl palmitate are present in smaller amounts. The heavier constituents were mainly triterpenoids such as lupenone and lupeol, which were identified as two of the main components. (Z)-Heptadec-8-ene, lupenone, and lupeol were quantified by GC-MS in SIM mode using external standards and represents 6%, 20%, and 7.8% (w/w) of the absolute oil. Moreover, odorant compounds were extracted by SPME and analyzed by GC-sniffing leading to the perception of 57 odorant zones, of which 37 compounds were identified by their odorant description, mass spectrum, retention index, and injection of the reference compound.

In this study, we adopted the synergistic modification technology of hydrodynamic cavitation and snail enzyme, to improve the yield and activity of soluble dietary fibers (SDFs) of rice husk. The physicochemical properties, structural changes, and inhibition of α-glucosidase and α-amylase of SDFs were examined in vitro. This synergistic treatment significantly increased the yield of SDFs to 18.

Lithology classification is crucial for efficient and sustainable resource exploration in the oil and gas industry. Missing values in well-log data, such as Gamma Ray (GR), Neutron Porosity (NPHI), Bulk Density (RHOB), Deep Resistivity (RS), Delta Time Compressional (DTCO), Delta Time Shear (DTSM), and Resistivity Deep (RD), significantly affect machine learning classification accuracy. This study applied three algorithms, extreme gradient boosting (XGBoost), K-nearest neighbours (KNN), and the artificial neural network (ANN), to handle missing values in well-log datasets, particularly datasets with extreme missing data (30 %).

This paper investigated the effects of heating and pH on the stability of emulsions of non-covalent complexes of gellan gum (GG) and soy protein isolate (SPI). As a result, the GG-SPI complexes stabilized emulsion exhibited a minimum emulsion particle size (945 ± 23 nm), a maximum absolute values of zeta-potential (-32.7 ± 0.

Water saturation plays a vital role in calculating the volume of hydrocarbon in reservoirs and defining the net pay. It is also essential for designing the well completion. Innacurate water saturation calculation can lead to poor decision-making, significantly affecting the reservoir's development and production, potentially resulting in reduced hydrocarbon oil recovery.
