A 61-year-old male patient without prior history of ophthalmologic problems presented with pain and redness in the left eye associated with slowly progressive proptosis over the previous 6 months. The patient also had diplopia in rightward and downward gaze. There was no vision loss.

There is limited literature assessing cosmetic lip size preferences in darker-skinned individuals. To measure preinjection lip augmentation preferences and postinjection satisfaction using the revised Lip Fullness Scale (LFS) in female participants with Fitzpatrick Skin Type V and VI. Females, aged 21 and over, with Fitzpatrick Skin Type V and VI desiring lip augmentation were recruited from a high-volume outpatient facial plastic surgery clinic.

Bilateral preseptal cellulitis without accompanying sinusitis or skin trauma is uncommon. In this report, we present a case of bilateral preseptal cellulitis and an upper eyelid abscess in an otherwise healthy child. A nine-year-old girl presented with severe and progressive bilateral swelling of the upper lids that showed an unsatisfactory response to medical treatments (intravenous ceftazidime and vancomycin) and warranted a referral to our facility.

Deoxycholic acid (DCA) injection is applied in treating moderate to severe submental bulge or facial fullness caused by excessive submental fat accumulation. Using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) technology, which was swiftly, precisely, and reliably confirmed, DCA was determined in human plasma with low quantification limits of 56 ng/mL. We selected six healthy individual blank human plasma with low concentrations of endogenous DCA and mixed them to prepare standard curve samples.

The authors describe a rare case of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) with primary involvement of the external auditory canal (EAC) and subsequent dissemination to the central nervous system, initially manifesting as a benign ear infection. This case highlights the importance of considering differential diagnoses in patients with persistent or worsening symptoms unresponsive to empirical treatment. A 53-year-old man presented with a one-week history of aural fullness, otalgia, and otorrhea in the left ear.
