Background: Iron deficiency is prevalent in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), even in those without anemia. However, the effects of iron deficiency on CKD progression and all-cause mortality in non-dialysis-dependent CKD (NDD-CKD) patients without anemia remain incompletely understood.
Methods: This multicenter retrospective nationwide cohort study included adult patients with non-anemia NDD-CKD from 24 hospitals across China.

Myocardial infarction (MI) is a coronary artery-related disease that seriously threatens human life and is the leading cause of sudden death worldwide, where a lack of nutrients and oxygen leads to an inflammatory response and death of cardiomyocytes. Ferroptosis is a form of non-apoptotic cell death associated with metabolic dysfunction, resulting in abnormal breakdown of glutamine and iron-dependent accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) during metabolism. However, the molecular mechanism of ferroptosis in the pathogenesis of MI and the function of Klotho and KRAS on ferroptosis during MI remain unclear.

Study Design And Methods: The Danish Blood Donor Study is a national ongoing prospective study of blood donors. We included 94,628 donors with 338,290 ferritin measurements from March 2010 to October 2022.
Background: Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) is an effective treatment for patients with end-stage renal disease. Although MHD can prolong the survival of patients, their quality of life is lower and the fatality rate is higher. Aplastic Anemia (AA) is one of the life-threatening bone marrow failure syndromes. One of the main pathologies of AA is reduced erythropoietic activity evidenced by decreased soluble transferrin receptor (sTfR) levels which results in minimal iron utilization and accumulation of iron in tissues in the form of ferritin. This study aimed to measure serum level of sTfR in adult AA patients and correlate it with the severity of the disease and the response to treatment.
