A case report describing intusussception on small bowell as a one of the less frequent causes of ileus in adults. A gastointestinal stromal tumor ( GIST) was found as a lead point of the intusussception on the basis of abdominal CT. Patient underwent resection of small bowel with tumor. Basic knowledge of GISTs is discussed.

Huaier (Trametes robiniophila Murr), a traditional Chinese medicinal fungus, has demonstrated potent anticancer properties and is widely used as an adjuvant treatment for liver, breast, gastric, colon, and non-small cell lung cancers. Introduction: Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST), which occur anywhere in the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, typically occur in the stomach and small intestine but rarely in the duodenum. We present a case report wherein a descending duodenal GIST was treated with a limited, minimally invasive surgery after endoscopic nasobiliary drainage (ENBD) insertion.

This case emphasises the difficulties in diagnosing a patient with brisk active small bowel bleeding and the differential diagnostic process of identifying tumour types preoperatively using imaging information. This case also underscores the importance of the surgical approach in different scenarios. Despite advancements in small bowel imaging, identifying the source and causes of small bowel bleeding remains challenging, particularly in life-threatening situations.
