The earliest diagnosis of diabetes is a mandate to arrest the worldwide epidemic of diabetes. The insulin assay with the oral glucose tolerance provides the earliest diagnosis. Protostylids are an anatomical variant of the paramolar tubercle, which refers to the presence of an additional cusp in the buccal surfaces of maxillary and mandibular bicuspids and molars. This structure, first reported by Dahlberg in 1950, is found in low frequencies and plays a significant role in dental anthropology. This anatomical variant, if present poses a threat to dental caries and periodontal diseases and hence requires early diagnosis and preventive dental care.

National Medical Research Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology named after Academician V.I. Kulakov, Moscow, Russia.

The study aimed to analyze the literature data on postmortem changes in the brain and their use to determine the time since death. The earliest manifestations of brain cell autolysis are detected by electron microscopy (15-20 minutes after death). The longer the postmortem period, the more morphofunctional changes in the brain are revealed by histological, histochemical, and immunohistochemical studies.

Non-tuberculous Mycobacterial Pulmonary Disease (NTM-PD) is a chronic disease characterised by progressive inflammatory lung damage due to infection by non-tuberculous mycobacteria (NTM). We aimed at investigating the presence of patterns that account for the phenotypic variability in a myotonic dystrophy type 2 (DM2) retrospective cohort at the Mass General Brigham Neuromuscular Centers. We collected the presence or absence of 23 clinical variables at symptom onset and diagnosis (n = 67 patients) and follow-up (n = 37 patients). We first identified set/s of variables (factors or cluster/s) representative of the large research data pool at onset by performing factor analyses, then assigned each patient to the cluster for which they had the highest computed total factor score.
