This review article highlights the importance of novel charge transfer (CT) sensing approach for the detection of ions which are crucial from environmental and biological point of view. The importance, principles of charge transfer, ion sensing, its different types, and its basic process will all be covered here. The strategy has been reported with enormous sensitivity and fast signaling response owing to the fact that strong electronic connection communication exists between donor (D) and acceptor (A) part.

Sepsis is one of the leading causes of mortality in hospital settings, and early diagnosis is a crucial challenge to improve clinical outcomes. Artificial intelligence (AI) is emerging as a valuable resource to address this challenge, with numerous investigations exploring its application to predict and diagnose sepsis early, as well as personalizing its treatment. Machine learning (ML) models are able to use clinical data collected from hospital Electronic Health Records or continuous monitoring to predict patients at risk of sepsis hours before the onset of symptoms.

In naval engineering, particular attention has been given to containerships, as these structures are constantly exposed to potential damage during service hours and since they are essential for large-scale transportation. To assess the structural integrity of these ships and to ensure the safety of the crew and the cargo being transported, it is essential to adopt structural health monitoring (SHM) strategies that enable real-time evaluations of a ship's status. To achieve this, this paper introduces an advancement in the field of smart sensing and SHM that improves ship monitoring and diagnostic capabilities.

In the complex environment of fully mechanized mining faces, the current object detection algorithms face significant challenges in achieving optimal accuracy and real-time detection of mine personnel and safety helmets. This difficulty arises from factors such as uneven lighting conditions and equipment obstructions, which often lead to missed detections. Consequently, these limitations pose a considerable challenge to effective mine safety management.

In this paper, we propose an optimal parking path planning method based on numerical solving, which leverages the concept of the distance between convex sets. The obstacle avoidance constraints were transformed into continuous, smooth nonlinear constraints using the Lagrange dual function. This approach enables the determination of a globally optimal parking path while satisfying vehicular kinematic constraints.
