The development of patient-specific treatment planning systems is of outmost importance in the development of radionuclide dosimetry, taking into account that quantitative three-dimensional nuclear medical imaging can be used in this regard. At present, the established method for dosimetry is based on the measurement of the biokinetics by serial gamma-camera scans, followed by calculations of the administered activity and the residence times, resulting in the radiation-absorbed doses of critical organs. However, the quantification of the activity in different organs from planar data is hampered by inaccurate attenuation and scatter correction as well as because of background and organ overlay. In contrast, dosimetry based on quantitative three-dimensional data can be more accurate and allows an individualized approach, provided that all effects that degrade the quantitative content of the images have been corrected for. In addition, inhomogeneous organ accumulation of the radionuclide can be detected and possibly taken into account. The aim of this work is to provide adequate information on internal emitter dosimetry and a state-of-the-art review of the current methodology and future trends.

Background: Therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals [¹⁷⁷Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE and [⁹⁰Y]Y-DOTA-TATE are used in peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) of neuroendocrine tumors. One of the factors determining the efficacy of such therapy is administering the radiopharmaceutical dose to the patients in a way consistent with treatment planning. This paper evaluates the loss of [¹⁷⁷Lu]Lu-DOTA-TATE and [⁹⁰Y]Y-DOTA-TATE and their mixed doses during the administration to the patient either by direct infusion or by gravity method.

Radiometal chelator conjugation is a cornerstone of radioimmunotherapy (RIT). Continued interest in selective placement of chelators remains an active topic of discussion in the field. With several simple site-specific methods being recently reported, it was of interest to investigate the benefits and potential drawbacks of the site-specific method with a full comparison to a more typical random conjugation method that is currently utilized in clinical applications.

Introduction: Despite the potential of dosimetry in optimizing personalized radiopharmaceutical therapy (RPT), its limited clinical implementation impedes the development of simplified protocols for routine adoption. However, simplifications may introduce errors in dosimetry, prompting questions about their impact on clinical practice.
Materials And Methods: In this retrospective study, we analyzed data from 21 patients diagnosed with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who underwent multiple cycles of Lu-PSMA-617 RPT treatment.

This review aimed to explore advances in radon detection methods, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and accessible techniques such as CDs, DVDs, and glass-based detectors. In this review, we compared traditional methods like alpha track detectors and continuous radon monitors with emerging innovations that leverage polycarbonate material and IoT-integrated systems. Our evaluation of the synthesis suggests that CDs and DVDs provide scalable solutions for long-term radon monitoring, while glass-based detectors like CR-39 offer high sensitivity for epidemiological studies.

Radiation is a pervasive natural phenomenon that has been present on earth since its inception. However, exposure to high background radiation levels can pose significant health risks to individuals living in affected areas. In recent years, several studies have been conducted in high background radiation areas (HBRAs), including high radon concentration areas, to understand the radiological aspects and the lessons learned of radiation exposure.
