Background: Low international normalized ratio (INR;
Methods And Results: We prospectively collected data from 47 community-based clinics located throughout the United States from 2000 to 2002. We examined risk factors for low INR (
Conclusions: In this cohort of patients receiving warfarin, more than 1 in 5 thromboembolic events occurred during a period of low INR. Women and patients anticoagulated for venous thromboembolism were particularly likely to experience low INR. Improving adherence, minimizing interruptions of therapy, and addressing low INR more promptly could reduce the risk of low INR.

Neurology Department, Shamir-Assaf Harofeh Medical Center, Zerifin, Israel; Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, Israel.
Background: Epilepsy-related emergency hospitalizations are associated with risks to patients. Neurologist ambulatory care can improve seizure control and decrease the rates of ED visits and emergency hospitalizations.
Aims: To evaluate the etiologies for emergency epilepsy-related admissions in patients with and without prior epilepsy clinic follow-up, and to identify possible factors that may influence admission rates.

Background: The treatment for Crohn's disease (CD) has increasingly required the use of biological agents. Safe and affordable tests have led to the active implementation of therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in clinical practice, which, although not yet widely available across all health services, has been proven effective.
Objective: To analyze serum infliximab (IFX) and antidrug antibody (ADA) levels in CD patients, compare two tests, as well as construct a prediction of neural network using a combination of clinical, epidemiological, and laboratory variables.

Background: Tacrolimus blood level variability is associated with reduced graft survival among kidney transplant recipients. To date, no practical approach for reducing variability has been validated. We defined specific tacrolimus blood level patterns correlated with variability and evaluated their independent association with reduced graft survival.

Objectives: Data about hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) levels during pregnancy are sparse. We assessed HCQ whole blood levels at first trimester of pregnancy as a potential predictor of maternal and obstetric/fetal outcomes in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Methods: We included pregnant SLE patients enrolled in the prospective GR2 study receiving HCQ, with at least one available first-trimester whole-blood HCQ assay.
