El proceso de estigmatización asume una devaluación de la persona debido a una característica o marca que haya sido identificada socialmente y que permita que se le describa como diferente. Desde que se desató la epidemia del VIH/SIDA, vivir con la enfermedad ha sido señalado de manera social como una marca estigmatizante. Las manifestaciones de dicha estigmatización se han documentado entre profesionales de la salud. Este estigma puede afectar los servicios de salud que las personas que viven con VIH/SIDA reciben de estos profesionales. Los objetivos de esta investigación fueron explorar: 1) la percepción que tienen estudiantes y profesionales de la salud sobre su nivel de competencia para ofrecer servicios a personas que viven con VIH/SIDA, 2) las opiniones de éstos sobre el tipo de adiestramiento profesional recibido y la necesidad del mismo, y 3) la manifestación de actitudes estigmatizantes como indicadores de necesidad de adiestramiento profesional. La muestra total del estudio estuvo compuesta por 80 de diversas profesiones de la salud. Los resultados reflejan que algunos/as de los/as participantes han recibido formación en VIH pero ésta no ha sido suficiente para contrarrestar las nociones estigmatizantes. Discutimos las implicaciones de los resultados para investigaciones futuras y el desarrollo de intervenciones con vías de minimizar las nociones estigmatizantes en los escenarios de salud.

Objetive: To know the perception of primary care professionals about the frequency with which interventions that should not be done at this level of care are carried out.
Material And Methods: Three questionnaires were developed to evaluate 9 interventions in family medicine, 2 in pediatrics and 6 in nursing. The percentage of professionals who stated that they always or almost always carried out these interventions was calculated, considering acceptable percentages of less than 5%.

The aim of this study, based on health care and social learning theories, is to understand the degree of implementation and reach of the "Brief Anti-Alcohol Counseling in Pediatric Age" protocol, a preventive intervention addressing alcohol consumption among minors within the Health Service of the Principality of Asturias, Spain. Using a qualitative methodology, based on thirteen semi-structured interviews conducted in June 2022, the study analyzes the development of the protocol, the perceptions of pediatric service professionals regarding its implementation, and their cultural representations of alcohol consumption within the Asturian and Spanish context. The results reveal limited reach due to the heterogeneity in its application and the difficulty in measuring its impact compared to other areas of pediatric health.

The Spanish enhanced recovery in adult surgery strategy, the "RICA pathway", was published in 2021 and includes 19 specific recommendations and more than 20 indirect recommendations for patient blood management (PBM). After reviewing these recommendations, and in the context of the new clinical evidence available, we propose the following updates: First: Detection and treatment of any preoperative anemia status in ALL patients who are candidates for major surgery with hematinic deficiencies. Second: Universal use of tranexamic acid in major surgery, bedside monitoring of intraoperative hemoglobin levels, restrictive transfusion criteria, and monitoring of patient well-being in terms of hydration, coagulability, normothermia and analgesia.
