(1) Background: Gallbladder mucosal erosion and/or ulceration are illnesses associated with unexpected gallbladder intra-cystic bleeding (hemocholecyst), an under-reported problem in dogs. (2) Methods: Clinicopathological characteristics of 14 dogs with gallbladder erosion/ulcer were investigated in this single-center retrospective study using clinical data and archived gallbladder tissues of client-owned dogs. (3) Results: Canine gallbladder erosion/ulcer tends to occur in older, neutered dogs of various breeds.

Background: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is an effective and safe treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma that features a lower incidence of serious complications than surgical resection. Hemocholecyst caused by RFA is a rare complication of secondary damage to the intrahepatic bile duct that results in hemobilia.
Case Summary: Here we report on a case of a hemocholecyst caused by accidental injury during RFA that induced hematemesis and melena.

Gallbladder cancer that presents as acute cholecystitis associated with hemocholecyst and hemobilia is a rare entity. There are few cases reported in the literature. We present a case of gallbladder carcinoma diagnosed after emergency cholecystectomy, performed due to hemobilia and acute cholecystitis due to hemocholecyst.

Microscopic polyangiitis (MPA) is a systemic vasculitis associated with antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies, and it involves multiple organs, including the kidneys and lungs. We report on the case of a 72-year-old woman with MPA who developed hemocholecyst in addition to alveolar hemorrhage and rapidly progressive glomerulonephritis. Although her renal function was not salvaged, the alveolar hemorrhage and hemocholecyst were treated conservatively.

Acute cholecystitis may appear secondary to an obstruction of the cystic duct by the tumour itself or to an obstruction of the cystic duct by blood clots.
