We describe a series of five patients with bilateral parotid enlargement as a sequalae to envenomation by the common krait (Bungarus caeruleus). Fine-needle aspiration cytology of the parotid gland was performed in four cases. The cytology revealed a mild lymphocytic inflammatory response in a red blood cell mixed proteinaceous background.

IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is a systemic inflammatory condition characterized by tissue infiltration with IgG4-positive plasma cells and a tendency to form mass-like lesions in various organs. IgG4-related sinusitis, although a relatively rare manifestation of IgG4-RD, significantly impacts the paranasal sinuses. Purpose: To explore the effects of personalized oral stents in intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) treatment.

Methods: Totally 108 patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma treated with IMRT at Nanjing Gaochun People's Hospital from January 2021 to December 2023 were selected. Using a random number table method, the patients were divided into experimental group (n=54) using personalized oral stents and control group (n=54) using simple mouthpieces.

This study investigates the calcifications in the parotid glands of a patient with Sjögren's syndrome (SS). A 52-year-old female patient presented for a routine dental examination who found to have multiple radiopacities in both parotid glands on panoramic radiograph. Further evaluation revealed swelling and tenderness in the parotid glands, decayed teeth, and dryness of the mouth and eyes.
