We demonstrate plasmonic lithography with an optical contact probe to achieve high speed patterning without external gap distance control between the probe and the photoresist. The bottom surface of the probe is covered with a 10 nm thickness silica glass film for the gap distance control and coated with self-assembled monolayer (SAM) to reduce friction between the probe and the photoresist. We achieve a patterning resolution of ~50 nm and a patterning speed of ~10 mm/s. We obtain the quality of line patterning comparable to that in conventional optical lithography.

Electrical contacts are of the greatest importance as they decisively contribute to the overall performance of photoresistors. Undoped κ-GaO is an ideal material for photoresistors with high performance in the UV-C spectral region thanks to its intrinsic solar blindness and extremely low dark current. The quality assessment of the contact/κ-GaO interface is therefore of paramount importance.

A novel piezoresistive cantilever microprobe (PCM) with an integrated electrothermal or piezoelectric actuator has been designed to replace current commercial PCMs, which require external actuators to perform contact-resonance imaging (CRI) of workpieces and avoid unwanted "forest of peaks" observed at large travel speed in the millimeter-per-second range. Initially, a PCM with integrated resistors for electrothermal actuation (ETA) was designed, built, and tested. Here, the ETA can be performed with a piezoresistive Wheatstone bridge, which converts mechanical strain into electrical signals by boron diffusion in order to simplify the production process.

Objective: To evaluate the clinical efficacy of clear aligner therapy in patients with severe periodontitis accompanied by pathological tooth displacement in the anterior region.
Methods: This retrospective study analyzed patients diagnosed with severe periodontitis and pathological displacement in the anterior region, who visited both the Periodontics and Orthodontics Departments at Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology between 2019 and 2022. A total of 26 eligible cases were included in this study.

Cd(Se,Te) photovoltaics (PV) are the most widely deployed thin-film solar technology globally, yet continued efficiency improvements are stymied by challenges at the device hole contacts. The inclusion of solution-processed oxide layers such as AlGaO in the contact stack has yielded improved device open-circuit voltages () and fill factors (FF). However, contradictory mechanisms by which these layers improve the device properties have been proposed by the research community.

The composition of eukaryotic membranes reflects a varied but precise amalgam of lipids. The genetic underpinning of how such diversity is achieved or maintained is surprisingly obscure, despite its clear metabolic and pathophysiological impact. The Arv1 protein is represented in all eukaryotes and was initially identified in the model eukaryote as a candidate transporter of lipids from the endoplasmic reticulum.
