Late entry to prenatal care is a complex problem disproportionately affecting immigrant and refugee women living in Western-style countries. Improving the health and well-being of these women and their children is a critical need. Utilizing Newman's praxis research approach, this study explored engaging 6 Cambodian American women living with pregnancy in the process of finding meaning. Dialoguing on important events and relationship from childhood to present day, patterns of health emerged. Considering data across participants, 3 preliminary themes were illuminated. Study provides new knowledge about environmental disruptions and promoting health.

China witnessed an Omicron COVID-19 outbreak at the end of 2022. During this period, medical crowding and enormous pressure on the healthcare systems occurred, which might result in the occurrence of occupational burnout among healthcare workers (HCWs). This study aims to investigate the prevalence of occupational burnout and associated mental conditions, such as depressive symptoms, anxiety, PTSD symptoms, perceived social support, resilience, and mindfulness among HCWs of the Chinese mainland during the Omicron COVID-19 outbreak, and to explore the potential risk and protective factors influencing occupational burnout of HCWs.

After a long-distance migration, Avars with Eastern Asian ancestry arrived in Eastern Central Europe in 567 to 568 CE and encountered groups with very different European ancestry. We used ancient genome-wide data of 722 individuals and fine-grained interdisciplinary analysis of large seventh- to eighth-century CE neighbouring cemeteries south of Vienna (Austria) to address the centuries-long impact of this encounter. We found that even 200 years after immigration, the ancestry at one site (Leobersdorf) remained dominantly East Asian-like, whereas the other site (Mödling) shows local, European-like ancestry.

Aim: The prevailing guidelines for obesity in Asian Indians, published in 2009, relied solely on body mass index (BMI) criteria. Recognizing the limitations of BMI in accurately diagnosing obesity and the emergence of new research revealing the association between generalized and abdominal adiposity in Asian Indians and early-onset co-morbid diseases, a comprehensive redefinition was needed.
Method: In a Delphi process focused on obesity in India, experts were invited via email to participate in five rounds.
