Distinguishing clinically similar dermatologic disorders can be challenging and the differential diagnosis of a blistering eruption in the newborn period can be extensive. Several genodermatosis, such as bullous congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma (BCIE) and epidermolysis bullosa simplex (EBS), autoimmune bullous disorders, infectious diseases, sucking blisters, and bullous mastocytosis must be considered. We present a case of BCIE misdiagnosed as EBS and review characteristic clinical and histopathological features of each disorder as well as the basic approach to treatment.

We report a 7-year-old girl born with pyloric atresia but without congenital epidermolysis bullosa or skin fragility. Nail dysplasia developed at age 8 months and throughout childhood she suffered from onycholysis and mild nail hypertrophy. Whole-exome sequencing demonstrated biallelic mutations in alpha6 integrin (ITGA6): p.

Introduction: Sturge-Weber syndrome, a congenital vascular disorder, is associated with diffuse choroidal hemangiomas in which the current mainstay of treatment is radiation therapy, including external beam radiation therapy (EBRT). The purpose of this case report was to present a novel combination of treatments for diffuse choroidal hemangioma.
Case Presentation: A 37-year-old man with a history of Sturge-Weber-associated glaucoma presented with an acute-onset decrease in vision in the right eye.

Morning glory disc anomaly is a rare congenital anomaly affecting the optic disc and is frequently associated with retinal detachment. This report presents a unique case of a 10-year-old boy with morning glory disc anomaly and serous retinal detachment, treated with oral acetazolamide. Remarkably, half of the retina exhibiting bullous detachment was reattached leading to full recovery of vision within a few days after starting acetazol-amide treatment.

Chanarin-Dorfman syndrome (CDS) is a multisystem autosomal recessive disorder due to variants of the ABHD5 gene, characterized by lipid vacuoles in the liver and leukocytes, and possible involvement of eyes, ears, skeletal muscle, and central nervous system. CDS may present with skin changes, most commonly congenital non- bullous ichthyosiform erythroderma, however erythrokeratoderma-like findings have been rarely reported in CDS patients. Herein, we report clinical, histopathological and genetic findings of four patients with CDS presenting with different clinical forms of erythrokeratoderma (three with progressive symmetric erythrokeratoderma-like features and one with erythrokeratoderma variabilis (EKV)-like features), including one patient with a novel mutation in ABHD5.
