The authors report and discuss a case of bilateral renal artery stenosis in a hypertensive 9 year-old girl that was first suspected with (99m)Technetium-dimercaptosuccinic acid renal scintigraphy. The scintigraphy showed signs of acute renal failure while the patient was on enalapril for controlling her hypertension. Bilateral renal artery stenosis was confirmed with computed tomography angiography. Hypertension resolved after bilateral renal artery angioplasty.

Introduction: Prior analysis of children with grade 3 and 4 congenital hydronephrosis demonstrated that renal medullary pyramidal thickness (PT) is predictive of subsequent pyeloplasty (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.78). The objective of this study was to further analyze the utility of sonographic measurements including PT, anteroposterior pelvic diameter (APD), and renal length with an expansion of the number of infants with hydronephrotic kidneys including grades 2, 3, and 4 hydronephrosis.

We present a 22-year-old man with a well-established medical history who had been complaining of 4 days of frothy dark urine, bilateral lower limb swelling, and puffiness on his face. For a month before his presentation, he had many bilateral skin lesions on his lower limbs that were leaking pus.

Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) have revolutionized the treatment of systemic cancer therapy. During disinhibiting the antitumor responses of immune system, ICIs may also cause unique immune-related adverse events (irAEs) which could affect any organ. Here, we report a rare case of sintilimab-induced ureteritis/cystitis in a 55-year-old male undergoing neoadjuvant chemo-immunotherapy for gastric cancer.

Background: The pathogenesis of acute kidney injury (AKI) is not fully understood. Tax1-binding protein 1 (TAX1BP1) modulates inflammation and apoptosis through the NF-kB signaling pathway, however, its specific role in ischemic AKI remains unclear.
Methods: We injected a TAX1BP1 overexpression plasmid into the tail vein of male C57BL/6 mice, followed by clamping the bilateral renal arteries to induce AKI.
