The paper describes a simplified calculation procedure for the volume of the osseous orbit. The use of correction factors allowed the authors to show the appropriateness of calculation of the volume of the osseous orbit from 4-6 fragments instead of 45-55 ones, as had been accepted. The presented volume characteristics of the orbit may be used in the differential diagnosis of false and true exophthalmos and in the planning of orbital operations.

Background: Cemento-osseous dysplasia (COD) is the most common apical radiopaque lesion that develops in the tooth-bearing area. However, large, destructive lesions are rare. Herein, we report a case in which COD extended to bilateral condyles, affecting the entire mandible, and was managed with denosumab rather than surgical resection.

Bone marrow aspiration is an essential procedure for diagnosing hematological conditions and therapeutic applications, such as bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) therapy for non-union of bones. This report presents a case of a 35-year-old male with femoral non-union treated with BMAC, requiring the collection of a large bone marrow aspirate volume. A novel, low-cost modification to the standard bone marrow aspiration apparatus was developed using components from an intravenous (IV) drip set, including a rubber bulb connector and a luer lock connector.

Objectives: To compare and correlate bone edema volume detected by 3D-short-tau-inversion-recovery (STIR) sequence to osseous decay detected by a T1-based sequence and conventional panoramic radiography (OPT).
Materials And Methods: Patients with clinical evidence of apical periodontitis were included retrospectively and received OPT as well as MRI of the viscerocranium including a 3D-STIR and a 3D-T1 gradient echo sequence. Bone edema was visualized using the 3D-STIR sequence and periapical hard tissue changes were evaluated using the 3D-T1 sequence.

Introduction: Intramedullary tibial nailing is a standard treatment for tibial shaft fractures. Postoperative knee pain significantly impacts functional recovery; however, studies on this issue are limited. This study evaluated the effect of the parapatellar approach for intramedullary nailing on postoperative knee pain.

Aim: This study aimed to analyze the upper airway dimensions in adult patients with different anteroposterior (sagittal) skeletal malocclusions (class I, II, and III) using cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) imaging.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study involved 90 CBCT records from adult subjects who were categorized into three skeletal groups based on their ANB values: Class I ( = 30), class II ( = 30), and class III ( = 30) and were evaluated. The following upper airway measurements were considered: oropharyngeal airway volume, hypopharyngeal airway volume, pharyngeal airway volume, oropharyngeal airway length, hypopharyngeal airway length, pharyngeal airway length, the most constricted site of the pharyngeal airway, and the most constricted cross-sectional area (MIN-CSA) of the pharyngeal airway.
