Intra-alveolar root fractures in immature permanent teeth are relatively uncommon and often present a complicated and unpredictable prognosis. This case report documents how conservative treatment was used for the successful management (and long-term follow-up) of immature teeth with a horizontal root fracture.

Objective: To investigate the clinical application effect of the along-axis extraction method in the extraction of impacted mandibular third molars (IMTM) and to compare the biomechanical characteristics of different root extraction techniques through three-dimensional finite element analysis.
Methods: A total of 68 patients requiring IMTM extraction were enrolled and randomly divided into two groups: the experimental group underwent the along-axis extraction method, while the control group underwent the traditional buccal bone removal and root extraction method. The duration of the procedure, intraoperative and postoperative complications were recorded.

Objective: The effect of different attachment positions on torque control during the labialization of maxillary lateral incisors with clear aligners was evaluated using finite element analysis.
Methods: Anatomical data acquired through cone-beam computed tomography, combined with the design of 0.625-mm-thick aligners and horizontal attachments, were integrated into the software.

The aim of the present study is to introduce a new anthropometric landmark (sap), parameter (sap-sap) for measuring a width of nasal tip and 7 new proportion indexes. For determinate data mean with standard deviation, 200 healthy individuals (100 men and 100 women) were included in the study. The authors determined and pointed 9 paired cranio-facial anthropometric landmarks: sap, al, ac, mf, en, ex, zy, ch, go.

Beetles that feed on the nutritionally depauperate and recalcitrant tissues provided by the leaves, stems, and roots of living plants comprise one-quarter of herbivorous insect species. Among the key adaptations for herbivory are plant cell wall-degrading enzymes (PCWDEs) that break down the fastidious polymers in the cell wall and grant access to the nutritious cell content. While largely absent from the non-herbivorous ancestors of beetles, such PCWDEs were occasionally acquired via horizontal gene transfer (HGT) or by the uptake of digestive symbionts.

Introduction: The complexity of treating impacted maxillary canines varies based on their angulation and position within the dental arch. The aim of this research was to compare the mesiodistal angulation of maxillary canines according to their impaction sector.
Methods: This cross-sectional study evaluated 229 impacted maxillary canines in 171 panoramic radiographs from two private radiology centres in Uruguay and Chile of individuals of both sexes aged 11 years and older with impacted maxillary canines.
