Objective: This study aims to compare two different drainage methods, percutaneous nephrostomy (PCN) and retrograde ureteral double-J (DJ) stent insertion, in patients with obstructive pyelonephritis (OP).
Methods: The study included 77 patients who presented to the emergency department due to stones. Type of decompression treatment (PCN or DJ stent), fever, white blood cell count (WBC), C-reactive protein (CRP) levels, urine culture, blood culture, presence of additional diseases, and antibiotic treatment were evaluated for these patients.

Drug-induced liver injury (DILI) presents significant diagnostic challenges, particularly in patients with multiple comorbidities. We report a case involving a 72-year-old female treated with cefepime for urosepsis, who developed markedly elevated liver enzymes after two weeks of therapy. After excluding other potential causes, including viral hepatitis, ischemia, and autoimmune hepatitis, cefepime-induced mixed pattern liver injury was determined to be the likely etiology of the elevated liver enzymes.

Acute urinary retention, a major urological emergency, needs short-term catheter placement, with a trial without a catheter used globally to reduce catheter-associated urinary tract infections. This procedure, often enhanced by alpha-1 blockers, enables patients to regain continence and promotes micturition post-catheterisation, particularly useful following surgeries such as prostatectomy.

Introduction: Traditional Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL) typically involves the retrograde placement of a ureteral catheter. However, this procedure can present additional risks in pediatric patients.
Case Presentation: We report a case of a 10-year-old boy, weighing 33 kg, diagnosed with a right upper ureteral stone complicated by hydronephrosis and urosepsis.

Background: Access to the renal calyx is a challenging and crucial step for a successful percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). There are different methods of access tract dilatation, and there is no consensus on which method is the best. We conducted a comparative retrospective study on the safety and efficacy of the Alken metallic dilator and Amplatz dilator for renal access in PCNL.
