Dynamic light scattering (DLS) is a well-known technique for measuring the size of nanoparticles from the diffusion coefficient. We developed a new DLS technique with high sensitivity and used it as a detection tool in microchemical applications. We found a step-like downward change in the diffusion coefficient of nanoparticles just by starting a slight flow in the fluid channel. Because the diffusion coefficient is defined by the ratio of the force due to the chemical potential gradient to the frictional coefficient for the particle by a solvent, we propose that the frictional coefficient increased significantly. This result suggests that nanoscale friction under liquid motion differs from that under a steady state.

Background: Assessing various types of dysfunction in cerebral palsy is a key factor in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients. The objective of this study was to use meta-analysis and systematic review to identify the specific white matter lesions and DTI metrics strongly associated with various types of dysfunction in cerebral palsy.
Methods: We conducted a literature search of PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library and Web of Science databases to identify trials published that had evaluated the correlation between DTI metrics in sensorimotor pathways and function scores in cerebral palsy.

Background: Intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) MRI uses diffusion-weighted (DW) MRI acquisitions to evaluate the microvascular and cellular environments of tissue. Due to these properties, IVIM has been increasingly utilized to evaluate abnormal placentation.
Objective: Our primary objective was to compare IVIM parameters in the placenta of patients with fetal growth restriction and appropriate for gestational age controls across gestational ages.

Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of breast MRI, including diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), in detecting residual lesions in patients with malignancy after excisional biopsy.
Methods: From January 2018 to December 2023, 3T breast MRI was performed to assess lesion morphology, residual size, and enhancement kinetics. The apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values were measured, and the diagnostic outcomes of CE-MRI, CE-MRI with DWI, mammography (MG), and ultrasound (US) were compared with clinical and histopathological data.

One of the most important formalisms used to describe membrane transport is Onsager-Peusner thermodynamics (TOP). Within the TOP framework, a procedure has been developed for the transformation of the Kedem-Katchalsky (K-K) equations for the transport of binary electrolytic solutions across a membrane into the Kedem-Katchalsky-Peusner (K-K-P) equations. The membrane system with an Ultra Flo 145 Dialyser membrane used for hemodialysis and aqueous NaCl solutions was used as experimental setup.

Membrane technology is a promising methodology for carbon dioxide separation due to its benefit of a small carbon footprint. However, the trade-off relationship between gas permeability and selectivity is one obstacle to limiting its application. Herein, branched polyethyleneimine (BPEI) containing a rich amino group was successfully grafted on the surface of the metal-organic framework (MOF) of AIFFIVE-1-Ni (KAUST-8) through coordination between N in BPEI and open metal sites in the MOF and with the resultant maintained BET surface area and pore volume.
