Oxyproline is one of the major collagen amino acids, which enables it to be regarded as a marker that reflects the catabolism of this protein. The purpose of this investigation was to ascertain the diagnostic value of free oxyproline in patients with hereditary and acquired collagenoses. The examinees were divided into 2 groups: (1) patients with hereditary collagenoses and (2) those with acquired ones. The content of free oxyproline was studied by the modified methods proposed by T. P. Kuznetsova. Comparison of the amount of free oxyproline in patients in both groups revealed that this index in patients with hereditary collagenoses was 1.4 times higher than that in those with acquired connective tissue diseases.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of dental pulp stem cell-derived exosomes (DPSCs-Exos) on the biological behaviour of fibroblasts, particularly on keloid fibroblasts (KFs) and normal skin fibroblasts (NFs), with a view to providing new insights into cellular regenerative medicine. We obtained DPSCs-Exos by ultracentrifugation and co-cultured it with KFs and NFs. We detected its effect on cell proliferation using the CCK-8 assay; cell migration ability by cell scratch and Transwell assays; extracellular matrix synthesis using the hydroxyproline content assay; the expression levels of genes associated with fibrosis by PCR assay; and the expression levels of proteins related to fibrosis in the cells using the Western Blot method.

Background: Understanding how obesity impacts human mammary adipose tissue (MAT) biology is crucial for deciphering its role in mammary epithelium during both physiological and pathophysiological processes, including breast cancer. Hypertrophic mammary adipocytes and Crown-Like Structures are present in MAT of patients with obesity but whether these changes initiate a fibro-inflammatory response at the tissue level remains insufficiently explored.
Objective: We investigated the markers of adipose tissue dysfunction (immune cell infiltration, secretion pattern and fibrosis) in tumor-free MAT of patients with obesity versus patients who are lean.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a complex disease of cartilage characterised by joint pain, functional limitation, and reduced quality of life with affected joint movement leading to pain and limited mobility. Current methods to diagnose OA are predominantly limited to X-ray, MRI and invasive joint fluid analysis, all of which lack chemical or molecular specificity and are limited to detection of the disease at later stages. A rapid minimally invasive and non-destructive approach to disease diagnosis is a critical unmet need.

Objective: Evaluation of structural features and metabolic/biochemical abnormalities of the bone tissue and relevant regulation patterns in children, residing in the radiologically contaminated territories (RCT).
Materials And Methods: Children (n = 148) aged 7 to 18 years old were involved in the study. Bone mineral density (BMD) is given in 3 grades according to the mean square deviation values, namely Grade I - standard (n = 75),Grade II - reduced (n = 45) and Grade III - very low one (n = 28).
