A case-control study was performed to assess whether T-cell activation profile of CD8+ T-cells is associated with unexplained recurrent abortion. Women with abortion had significantly higher percentages (32 +/- 11 vs. 24 +/- 13%) and absolute numbers (160 +/- 78 vs. 114 +/- 83 cells/mm(3)) of CD8+DR+ T-cells than controls.

Background: Retroperitoneal abscesses caused by donor-derived Carbapenem-Resistant Klebsiella Pneumoniae (CRKP) infections are rare and often challenging to diagnose early due to a lack of specific symptoms.
Case Presentation: In case one, a 64-year-old male presented with unexplained fever and emaciation three months after undergoing a kidney transplant for end-stage renal disease. Metagenomic Next-Generation Sequencing identified CRKP in peripheral blood samples, and CT scans confirmed a retroperitoneal abscess.

Introduction: Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL), defined as two or more pregnancy losses, might be associated with elevated obstetrical and perinatal risks in the following pregnancies. RPL and pregnancy problems related to placental development may have similar etiological features. This study explores the incidences of pregnancy and perinatal outcomes in women with RPL.

Background: Idiopathic normal-pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH), characterized by unexplained normal-pressure hydrocephalus, primarily presents with symptoms such as gait disturbances, cognitive impairment, and urinary incontinence. Currently, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) drainage via shunting is the only effective treatment for iNPH.
Case Presentation: A 56-year-old Asian woman visited our hospital with a worsening gait disturbance and a history of recurrent falls over the past 2 years.

Background: Recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA), whose underlying cause has yet to be fully elucidated, is often classified as unexplained recurrent spontaneous abortion (URSA). Promoting the differentiation of CD4 T cells into Tregs may be the key to prevent URSA. The differentiation of CD4 T cells was controlled by mTOR, but the regulatory mechanism is still unclear.
