The study of terrestrial phosphorus inflow (hereafter referred to as phosphorus inflow) fluxes is essential for controlling non-point source (NPS) pollution. The SWAT model was successfully used to simulate phosphorus inflow fluxes in the Dongting Lake area, while a hybrid model (LSTM and SWAT) was developed and validated for predicting the reduction in phosphorus inflow fluxes among rivers based on three typical reduction scenarios: agricultural control, livestock and poultry reduction, and soil and water conservation measures. The results showed that the inflow flux of TP was 3.

The species-area relationship (SAR) is one of the oldest in ecology, linking the increase in species richness in sampling area. Later, new parameters were incorporated into its equation, such as taxon-specific responses, habitats use by species and species adapted to human-modified habitats, originating the Countryside SAR, a version intended to integrate the life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology, which is still inefficiencies when used to evaluate food production systems. Therefore, we present the first attempt to incorporate into Countryside SAR the minimum land demand parameter for food production, the food environmental footprint - EFP, and improve the use of the method within the agricultural sciences scope.

Aneuploidy eggs are a common cause of human infertility, spontaneous abortion, or trisomy syndromes. The spindle assembly checkpoint (SAC) plays a crucial role in preventing aneuploidy in oocytes, yet it is unclear if additional mechanisms exist to ensure oocyte adherence to this checkpoint. It is now revealed that the microtubule-associated protein NUSAP can prevent oocytes from evading the SAC and regulate the speed of the cell cycle.
