Rectus sheath hematoma may present as a painful mass in the anterior abdominal wall. The underlying reasons may vary, while anticoagulant use and thromboembolism prophylaxis are documented causes. Treatment is mostly conservative however interventional procedures can be required. We herein present a case of 76-year-old patient with an uncontrolled rectus hematoma despite surgical hemostasis. The patient was treated succesfully by applying hemostatic matrix (Floseal).

Purpose: To examine the acute effects of forehand drive (FD) preconditioning with or without blood-flow restriction (BFR) on subsequent forehand performance and muscle recruitment in tennis.
Methods: On separate visits, 12 well-trained tennis players participated in 4 randomized trials. Each visit included pretests (maximal muscle-activation capacity or FD performance), a preconditioning phase, and posttests after 5 minutes of rest (ie, similar to pretests).

The goal of standardizing the technique of the routine, uncomplicated cesarean delivery (CD) is to decrease maternal morbidity while optimizing neonatal outcomes. Direct carotid cavernous fistula is an abnormal arterio-venous connection from the carotid artery to the cavernous sinus (CS), resulting in high-pressure arterial blood entering the low-pressure venous CS. Most often, it occurs posttrauma and presents with ipsilateral orbital signs. In this report, we describe the case of a 54-year-old man, who presented with a late-onset right-sided red eye and diplopia following contralateral (left sided) orbital trauma (road traffic accident 7 months ago).

Background: Whereas uncomplicated labral tears with preserved fibers can be effectively treated with use of labral repair techniques, complex tears and hypoplastic labra require labral reconstruction. Standard reconstruction techniques feature grafted tissue that is added to existing, deficient tissue or that is utilized to replace a hypoplastic labrum entirely. However, such approaches utilizing allografts or remote autografts are limited because they often necessitate extensive debridement of the existing labrum to prepare a site for graft implantation, an approach that can damage and devascularize the chondrolabral junction.
