To explicitly outline a therapeutic technique for symptom removal in conversion disorder. We describe one patient with conversion dumbness and another with conversion paraplegia. The first patient was successfully treated in a single session, and the second was successfully treated across two weeks, both using systematic enhancement of functioning as a technique for symptom removal. This technique encourages the patient to express the desired behavior to whatever extent possible; subsequently, the patient is encouraged to gradually amplify the response until normal levels of functioning are achieved. The technique outlined is simple and practical but nevertheless receives no mention in conversion disorder literature. The technique can be applied to any situation in which behavioral amplification is desired.

Background: There is increasing recognition Functional Neurological disorder (FND) is comorbid with other neurological conditions, but little is known about patients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). We therefore systematically evaluated the presence of FND in consecutive patients with MS and its clinical correlates.
Methods: Three-hundred and ten consecutive MS patients, seen at our center on either elective or emergent basis, underwent a structured protocol to gather demographics and data about clinical features, previous and current treatments and presence of mood disorders and were additionally assessed by an expert in FND.

Background: Central synucleinopathies, including Parkinson's disease (PD), dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB), and multiple system atrophy (MSA), involve alpha-synuclein accumulation and dopaminergic cell loss in the substantia nigra (SN) and locus coeruleus (LC). Pure autonomic failure (PAF), a peripheral synucleinopathy, often precedes central synucleinopathies.
Objectives: To assess early brain involvement in PAF using neuromelanin-sensitive magnetic resonance imaging (NM-MRI) and fluorodopa-positron emission tomography (FDOPA-PET), and to determine whether PAF patients with a high likelihood ratio (LR) for conversion to a central synucleinopathy exhibit reduced NM-MRI contrast in the LC and SN compared with controls and low-LR patients.

Solution-processed quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs) hold great potential as competitive candidates for display and lighting applications. However, the serious energy disorder between the quantum dots (QDs) and hole transport layer (HTL) makes it challenging to achieve high-performance devices at lower voltage ranges. Here, we introduce "giant" fully alloy CdZnSe/ZnSeS core/shell QDs (size ~ 19 nm) as the emitting layer to build high-efficient and stable QLEDs.

Alzheimer's disease is the neurodegenerative disorder responsible for approximately 60% to 70% of all cases of dementia and is expected to affect 152 million by 2050. Recently, anti-amyloid therapies have been developed and approved by the Food and Drug Administration as disease-modifying treatments given as infusions every 2 to 5 weeks for Alzheimer's disease. Although this is an important milestone in mitigating Alzheimer's disease progression, it is critical for emergency medicine clinicians to understand what anti-amyloid therapies are and how they work to recognize, treat, and mitigate their adverse effects.

Second harmonic generations (SHGs) have been proven to be generated individually in topological corner states and topological edge states. However, the SHGs in TDSs have not been discussed so far.
