Several polyphloretin phosphate (PPP) fractions (low mol. wt LC1259; high mol. wt LC1261; crude mixture, LC101) were confirmed in their established property as antagonists of the pharmacological actions of prostaglandins in a preparation of guinea-pig isolated ileum stimulated by prostaglandin (PG)E2. Further samples of the same material were then compared in-vitro with indomethacin in their ability to inhibit prostaglandin biosynthesis from arachidonic acid by a microsomal enzyme preparation. All three PPP fractions potently inhibited prostaglandin generation, with the rank order of potency LC1259 = LC101 = indomethacin greater than LC1261. The oral LD50 in mice was 25 mg kg-1 for indomethacin and greater than 1 g kg-1 for LC101. PPP fractions (especially LC101) may therefore have therapeutic potential as anti-inflammatory agents.

This study focused on evaluating the fractionation of pequi oil and modeling the process using solid-liquid equilibrium (SLE) theory. The pequi oil was comprehensively characterized, including its fatty acid (FA) and acylglycerol (AG) profiles, moisture content, acidity, carotenoid levels, and thermal behavior. Low acidity and partial acylglycerols content, along with its TAG profile (mainly OOP, POP, OOO and PPP) and melting behavior proved that, in fact, this oil is quite suitable for fractionation.

Aims And Objectives: The aim of this study is to examine the efficacy and safety of various regenerative medicine treatments, such as cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), plasma-poor platelet (PPP), plasma-rich fibrin (PRF), mesenchymal stem cells, stromal vascular fraction (SVF), exosomes, adipose-derived stem cells (ADSC), and stem cell-conditioned media (SC-CM), for treating vitiligo.
Method: We conducted a thorough search of major databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science, and selected 48 articles based on specific criteria. We used EndNote X8 and Google Sheets to review and extract data from the articles.

β-amyloid-targeting antibodies represent the first generation of effective causal treatment of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and can be considered historical research milestones. Their effect sizes, side effects, implementation challenges and costs, however, have stimulated debates about their overall value. In this position statement academic clinicians of the European Alzheimer's Disease Consortium (EADC) discuss the critical relevance of introducing these new treatments in clinical care now.

Aims: To compare the iodine washout rate (IWR) from multiphasic contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) with the extracellular volume fraction (fECV) for assessing pancreatic fibrosis and its association with pancreatic cancer.
Materials And Methods: The study included 51 individuals (33 men; median age: 69 years; 21 with pancreatic cancer, 30 with other diseases) who underwent multiphasic contrast-enhanced CT and histological evaluation for fibrotic changes in pancreas. The histological pancreatic fibrosis fraction (HPFF) was assessed on Azan-stained sections.
