The development and homeostasis of intestinal epithelium are mediated by actively proliferating Lgr5+ stem cells, which possess a remarkable self-renewal and differentiation capacity. Recently, our study demonstrated that m6A methylation was essential for the survival of colonic stem cells. Here, we show that METTL3 expression is downregulated in the colon mucosa in ulcerative colitis (UC) patients and strongly associated with the differentiation and maturation of goblet cells during inflammation.

The aberrant expression of placental imprinted genes due to epigenetic alterations during pregnancy can impact fetal development. We investigated the impact of dietary modification of low vitamin B12 with varying doses of folic acid on the epigenetic control of imprinted genes and fetal development using a transgenerational model of C57BL/6J mice. The animals were kept on four distinct dietary combinations based on low vitamin B12 levels and modulated folic acid, mated in the F0 generation within each group.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the selection history, genome regions, and candidate genes associated with different chicken body sizes, thereby providing insights into the genetic basis of complex economic traits such as chicken body size and growth.
Methods: In this study, a total of 217 individuals from eight breeds were selected. According to body size, they were divided into two groups: large chickens and bantam chickens, with four breeds in each group.

Background: Small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) is characterized by -poor prognosis, -high predilection for -metastasis, -proliferation, and -absence of newer therapeutic options. Elucidation of newer pathways characterizing the disease may allow for development of targeted therapies and consequently favorable outcomes.
Methods: The current study explored the combinatorial action of arsenic trioxide (ATO) and apatinib (APA) in vitro and in vivo.
