Anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) is the most common surgical operation for cervical radiculopathy and/or myelopathy in patients who have failed conservative treatment. Since the operation was first described by Cloward and Smith and Robinson in 1958, a variety refinements in technique, graft material and implants have been made. In particular, there is a need for safe osteoinductive agents that could benefit selected patients. The ovine model has been shown to have anatomical, biomechanical, bone density and radiological properties that are similar to the human counterpart, the most similar level being C3/4. It is therefore an ideal model in which preclinical studies can be performed. In particular this methodology may be useful to researchers interested in evaluating different devices and biologics, including stem cells, for potential application in human spinal surgery.

Background: Cervical carotid dissections are a significant cause of thromboembolic events in young adults. While endovascular treatment is often used for large or enlarging lesions, smaller lesions are frequently managed conservatively. However, there is limited research on the hemodynamic differences between conservatively managed and endovascularly treated cervical carotid pseudoaneurysms.

Introduction And Importance: With an incidence ranging from 0.4 % to 2.4 %, post-operative hematoma after anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) is considered as potentially fatal since it can rapidly lead to acute airway obstruction and respiratory failure.

Background: Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) rarely presents in the oral and maxillofacial region, and while isolated and small collections of Langerhans-type cells have been found in periapical cysts, there have been no reported cases of LCH arising in periapical cysts.
Methods: A 58-year-old female presented with isolated erythematous dry skin lesions and a radiolucent lesion of the anterior maxilla. Microscopic examination of the enucleation specimen revealed a periapical cyst with large collections of atypical cells with grooved folded nuclei with eosinophils consistent with LCH.

This study aims to construct a nomogram to predict the prognosis of patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM). This study included 358 patients diagnosed with cervical spondylotic myelopathy. We collected serological indicators of patients at admission, including routine blood tests, biochemical tests, liver and kidney function, coagulation function and other laboratory tests.
