High nailfold plexus visibility (NPV) is a trait identifying a putative endophenotype for schizophrenia. We describe a new method of NPV assessment using computer storage of digital photomicrographs. We performed a reliability study of this method using 40 subjects. The intraclass correlation between two blinded raters was 0.83. The kappa coefficient for a 3 level division of NPV was 0.72, while the kappa for reliability at the cutting score for designating high NPV was 0.94. This method provides immediate image quality feedback, ease of reliability assessment, the option of blinded ratings, and a method for continuous enhancement of rating consensus.

Objectives: In this study, we aimed to evaluate microvascular changes using nailfold capillaroscopy in patients who underwent digit replantation and revascularization.
Patients And Methods: A total of 46 patients (34 males, 12 females; mean age: 45.8±17.

Anderson-Fabry disease (AFD) is a genetic lysosomal storage disorder caused by mutations in the α-galactosidase A gene, leading to impaired lysosomal function and resulting in both macrovascular and microvascular alterations. AFD patients often exhibit increased intima-media thickness (IMT) and reduced flow-mediated dilation (FMD), indicating non-atherosclerotic arterial thickening and the potential for cardiovascular events. Nailfold capillaroscopy, a non-invasive diagnostic tool, has shown potential in diagnosing and monitoring microcirculatory disorders in AFD, despite limited research.

Purpose: Idiopathic macular telangiectasia type 2 (IMT) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by bilateral, idiopathic, and perifoveal retinal telangiectatic vessel formations. We aimed to compare proximal nailfold videocapillaroscopy (NV) findings between patients with IMT and healthy individuals and evaluate the optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) parameters of the patients with IMT according to their NV findings.
Methods: The study included 43 patients with IMT and 92 healthy controls of similar age and gender without any additional diseases.

Vascular injury eventually resulting in the establishment of cardiovascular disease is a serious complication in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Nailfold videocapillaroscopy (NVC) is a non-invasive imaging modality that enables the quantitative and qualitative assessment of the peripheral microvasculature. Nevertheless, capillaroscopic patterns remain inadequately defined in RA, especially regarding their clinical significance as potential markers of systemic vascular impairment.

Material And Methods: The study involved 90 patients (mean age 67 years), among them 31 with nonproliferative diabetic retinopathy, 29 patients with proliferative DR and 30 patients without retinopathy. In addition to conventional ophthalmological examination, optical coherence tomography angiography (OCTA) on the Optovue RTVue-100 device (USA) was performed using en face vessel density protocol to examine the state of the microvasculature of the superficial and deep layers of the vascular plexus of the central retinal zone, as well as nailfold capillaroscopy using computerized capillaroscope KK-01 (ZAO Centr Analiz veshhestv, Russia).
