Drying processes of polymer solutions on a solid substrate enclosed by bank are studied in the slow limit of the solvent evaporation. A simple model is proposed to examine the final shape of the film after drying. Analytical expressions of the final shape in terms of the initial parameters are obtained. It is shown that the craterlike and basinlike shapes appear as final shapes of the film depending on the initial parameters. The "shape diagrams" which show parameter dependence of the final shape are presented in the absence/presence of diffusion. The final shape of the film in the geometry without bank is also discussed.

The atomic force microscope (AFM) image will be inclined and bent due to the tilt angle between the probe and the sample surface. When the least squares fitting method is used to correct the horizontal distortion of the AFM image, the shape structure that is lower or higher than the sample base will affect the final fitting correction result. In view of the limitations of existing methods and the diversity of AFM images, an AFM image level distortion correction method based on automatic feature marking is proposed.

This study investigated the potential of substituting wheat flour with drum-dried overripe Kepok plantain flour (KPF) to enhance instant the nutritional and textural properties of noodles. Noodles were prepared with varying KPF substitutions (10%, 20%, and 30%) and compared to a control (0% KPF). The results show that KPF remarkably influences the adhesiveness, springiness, cohesiveness, and hardness of noodles.

Splenic cysts are rare medical conditions, and their incidence is dominated by parasitic types. Non-parasitic splenic cysts, whether true cysts (with a cellular lining of the cystic wall) or pseudocysts (without a cellular lining), are significantly rarer than parasitic ones. Their etiology is not fully established, with fetal remnant development, metaplasia, and mesothelial invagination being widely accepted possible mechanisms.
