Based on a β-diketonate ligand, a mononuclear Dy(III) complex, [Dy(dmpd)(bpy)] (1) (dmpd = 4,4-dimethyl-1-phenylpentane-1,3-dione, bpy = 2,2'-dipyridyl), of [DyNO] type has been synthesized with a capping nitrogen-containing coligand. Then, a dual capping coligand 2,2'-bipyrimidine (bmp) is introduced to be a bridge to link two β-diketonate-Dy(III) motifs, leading to a new dinuclear Dy(III) complex, [Dy(dmpd)(bmp)] (2). Dy(III) centers in both complexes feature an NO octacoordinated environment with an approximate square-antiprism geometry ().

The aim of this study is to evaluate a radioactive metal complex platform for brain tumor targeting. Herein, we introduce a new porphyrin derivative, 5,10,15,20-(tetra-,-dimethyl-4-aminophenyl)porphyrin (TDAP), in which four ,-dimethyl-4--phenylenediamine (DMPD) moieties are conjugated to the porphyrin labeled with the radiometal Cu. DMPD affected the pharmacokinetics of porphyrin in terms of retention time in vivo and tumor-targeting ability relative to those of unmodified porphyrin.

Propolis is a complex natural compound that honeybees obtain from plants and contributes to hive safety. It is rich in phenolic and flavonoid compounds, which contain antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anticancer properties. In this study, the chemical composition and antioxidant activities of propolis were investigated; ABTS, DPPH and DMPD were prepared using radical scavenging antioxidant methods.

Umami taste, known as appetizing sensation, is mainly imparted by monosodium glutamate (MSG, the first identified umami factor) in synergistic combination with some 5' ribonucleotides such as inosine 5'-monophosphate, IMP, guanosine 5'-monophosphate, GMP, and adenosine 5'-monophoshate, AMP. The level of free glutamic acid in tomatoes is higher than in other vegetables or fruits and increases with ripening and industrial processing. In addition, due to the presence of bioactive metabolites, tomatoes and tomato-based products are among the most consumed healthy food items.

The structural, spectroscopic and electronic properties of 4-(4-nitrophenyl)-5-(pyridin-3-yl)-2,4-dihydro-3H-1,2,4-triazole-3-thione have been analyzed by using single crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD), H and C NMR chemical shifts and FT-IR spectroscopic methods both theoretically and experimentally. The tautomeric (thiol and thione) energetic analysis results, structural optimization parameters (bond lengths and angles), vibrational wavenumbers, proton and carbon NMR chemical shifts, UV-Vis. parameters, the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) analyses and Molecular Electrostatic Potential (MEP) surface have been calculated by using DFT/B3LYP quantum chemical method with 6-311++G(2d,2p) basis set to compare with the experimental results.
