Intravascular large B-cell lymphoma is a rare disease with multiorgan involvement that also affects the skin. Skin manifestations include purpuric to red macules, plaques, or nodules with occasional edema and tenderness. We report a 68-year-old woman with bilateral leg edema and occasional high fever. A biopsy specimen from a subcutaneous nodule showed that the blood vessels in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue were filled with irregularly shaped chromatin-rich large atypical lymphocytes positive for CD20 and bcl-2, consistent with the diagnosis of intravascular large B-cell lymphoma. In addition, immunohistochemical analysis showed expression of CXCR3 in the atypical lymphocytes; its ligand, CXCL9, was detected in blood vessels. Although limited to a single case, our study could provide a possible new clue to the pathogenesis of intravascular large B-cell lymphoma by virtue of the characteristic expression of CXCL9-CXCR3.

Objective: This study aimed to elucidate the clinical manifestations, laboratory findings and outcomes of patients with intravascular large B cell lymphoma (IVLBCL) with neurological involvement and to differentiate IVLBCL with and without neurological involvement.
Methods: A cohort study was conducted at Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand, between January 2005 and September 2024. Clinical data, laboratory values and central nervous system imaging results were analysed.

The C3 protein is the central molecule within the complement system and undergoes proteolytic activation to C3b in the presence of pathogens. Pattern-independent activation of C3 also occurs via hydrolysis, resulting in C3(HO), but the structural details of C3 hydrolysis remain elusive. Here we show that the conformation of the C3(HO) analog, C3MA, is indistinguishable from C3b.

Surgical resection and lymphadenectomy are the mainstay of curative treatment for oesophagogastric cancer. In this study we evaluate the results of intravascular methylene blue injection into oesophagectomy and gastrectomy specimens as a tool to increase lymph node detection. A prospective and descriptive study was run on 24 patients (11 oesophagus, 13 stomach cases).

Percutaneous coronary interventions in highly calcified atherosclerotic lesions are challenging due to the high mechanical stiffness that significantly restricts stent expansion. Intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) is a novel vessel preparation technique with the potential to improve interventional outcomes by inducing microscopic and macroscopic cracks to enhance stent expansion. However, the exact mechanism of action for IVL is poorly understood, and it remains unclear whether the improvement in-stent expansion is caused by either the macro-cracks allowing the vessel to open or the micro-cracks altering the bulk material properties.
