The creation of hosts capable of accommodating different guest molecules may enable these hosts to play useful roles in chemical purifications, among other applications. Metal-organic cages are excellent hosts for various guests, but they generally incorporate rigid structural units that hinder dynamic adaptation to specific guests. Here we report a conformationally adaptable pseudo-cubic cage that can dynamically increase its cavity volume to fit guests with differing sizes.

This research paper presents a high-gain DC-DC converter with ultra-step-up voltage gain capability. The proposed converter is synthesized from a two-phase interleaved boost converter (IBC), and its voltage gain is doubled by adopting a voltage lift capacitor. To enhance its voltage gain capability, a floating capacitor-based gain extension cell is adopted subsequently.

Electrochromic smart windows can realize intelligent photothermal regulation by applying a low potential, which is of great significance for energy-saving buildings and achieving low carbon emission. However, the dense structure of conventional metal oxide electrochromic materials limits ion transport efficiency, resulting in poor electrochromic properties. Here, we propose a surface crystal reconstruction strategy for cubic NiO through phosphorylation (P-NiO) to build energetic reactive interfaces and enhance the electrochromic performance.

The high carrier lifetime of metal halide perovskite (MHP) materials is closely related to the microscopic crystallographic structure. However, the detailed correlation between the lattice structure and carrier dynamics remains unclear. In this work, we found a correlation between lattice strain and open-circuit voltage () of MHP under electric activation.
