The broad application of polyacrylamides (PAMs) has greatly promoted the development of new synthetic methods to prepare PAM-based functional (co)polymers regarding their traditional preparation the direct polymerization of various acrylamide monomers. Herein, we have explored the post-polymerization modification of the poly(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl acrylate) (PTFEA) homopolymer, a typical non-activated ester, and various amines using the organo-catalytic system involving 1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.

Bio-active molecules having N-heteroarene core are widely used for numerous medicinal applications and as lifesaving drugs. In this direction, dehydrogenation of partially saturated aromatic N-heterocycles shows utmost importance for the synthesis of heterocycles. This feature article highlights the recent advances, from 2009 to April 2021, on the dehydrogenation of N-heteroaromatics.

Amphiphilic polycarbonate/PEG copolymer with a star-like architecture was designed to facilitate a unique supramolecular transformation of micelles to vesicles in aqueous solution for the efficient delivery of anticancer drugs. The star-shaped amphipilic block copolymer was synthesized by initiating the ring-opening polymerization of trimethylene carbonate (TMC) from methyl cholate through a combination of metal-free organo-catalytic living ring-opening polymerization and post-polymerization chain-end derivatization strategies. Subsequently, the self-assembly of the star-like polymer in aqueous solution into nanosized vesicles for anti-cancer drug delivery was studied.
