Objectives: Mid-urethral sling (MUS) insertion is the gold standard approach to treat stress urinary incontinence (SUI) and adaptable single-incision mini-slings (SIMSs) aim to reduce complications. A previous study of our team has found that SIMSs were comparable to transobturator slings in cure rates after 24 months of follow-up. This study aims to compare the rates of cure, complications and re-intervention of both slings over a long-term follow-up of 5 years.

Pediatric patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery are at increased risk for health care-associated infections, especially surgical site infections (SSIs). Delayed sternal closures are associated with prolonged lengths of stay and contribute to infection risks and morbidities. Objective: Ectopic pregnancy is an emergency frequently requiring laparoscopic intervention. This study aimed to determine whether single-incision laparoscopic surgery is a safe and effective treatment method compared with conventional laparoscopic surgery with multiple ports.

Data Sources: This study searched 6 databases from their inception to May 15, 2024, for articles comparing the safety outcomes of single-incision laparoscopic surgery with conventional laparoscopic surgery in managing women with ectopic pregnancy.
